Clicking noises upon turning the key are a classic sign of starter failure. You may also hear whirring or grinding sounds before the starter finally gives up completely. If your engine cranks slowly or not at all, bring your vehicle in for diagnosis.
Do not drop batteries as they contain acid. Prevent tools from contacting both terminals simultaneously as this causes dangerous sparks. When installing, attach the negative cable first, then the positive cable. Wear eye protection and gloves.
Mixing up negative and positive cables is the most common mistake and can cause serious electrical damage. Just remember black cable to negative terminal and red cable to positive terminal. If you are unsure, call us for roadside assistance.
Apply brake pressure, turn the steering wheel gently left and right while turning the key to unlock. The steering wheel locks as a security feature when you remove the key.
Most car batteries last 3 to 5 years depending on weather conditions, driving habits, and vehicle electrical load. We can test your battery for free to check its condition.
Common causes include age, worn bearings, damaged voltage regulator, and electrical overload. Regular electrical system checks help catch alternator problems before you are stranded.
We proudly serve drivers throughout the region.
